What is Max Condition? The book Max Condition discusses such topics as preparing for sports is compromised of two distinct conditions: training and practice. Max Condition believes too many coaches interpret training and practice to mean the same thing, which is counterproductive for the athlete. This is not the best scenario for optimal results.

Max Condition: Training refers to the process of enhancing the athletes' physical and mental condition. Practice refers to the process of perfecting the technical skills that are involved with the particular sport. The sports conditioning coach should handle the training while the skills coach handles the practice. If time and resources are an issue it might be necessary to place the two together.
